Felix Danner (born July 24, 1985 in Freiburg ) is a German handball player .

Career

society

The 1.98 m tall Danner, who is used in the district, began his career at the age of four at SV Kappel and moved to SG Köndringen / Teningen at the age of 14. With SG Köndringen / Teningen he scored 444 goals in 110 games in the Regionalliga Süd and in 2007 moved to the second division team HR Ortenau . When HR Ortenau had to file for bankruptcy in 2009, Danner switched to first division club MT Melsungen . He played his first Bundesliga game in the 31:43 defeat against the Rhein-Neckar-Löwen when he was substituted on in the eleventh minute by then coach Robert Hedin . In the 54th minute, he scored his first Bundesliga goal at 29:37. Since then he has been active for MT Melsungen and scored his 150th Bundesliga goal on March 21, 2012 in the 19:27 home defeat against THW Kiel .

National team

On April 7, 2012 Danner made his debut in the B national team of the DHB at 28:26 against the Reserve of Denmark and scored two goals. To the friendly against Serbia on 22./23. September 2012 Danner was called up to the senior team and scored three goals. In the 27:31 defeat in the European Championship qualifier on November 1, 2012 in Mannheim against Montenegro , Danner completed his first competitive game for the national team in which he came to a brief assignment. On December 13, 2012, Danner was appointed by national coach Heuberger in the expanded squad for the 2013 World Cup , but not in the squad for the World Cup preparation. In October 2014, Danner announced that he was temporarily stepping down from the national team for personal reasons.

Danner has been married to Anja Danner since 2011 and has had one child since 2012.

Danner has two brothers and a sister, is a trained system mechanic and graduated from the Fernschule Studiengemeinschaft Darmstadt .
