Stefan Salger (born August 15, 1996 ) is a German handball player . His height is 2.07 m.

Career

Salger comes from Oberstaufen im Allgäu, where he was active for TSV Oberstaufen. He then played for TSV 1874 Kottern and TV Immenstadt. In his youth Salger was appointed to the Bayern team. At the age of 17 he played in the men's team at TV Immenstadt. In February 2014 Salger moved from the regional league club in Immenstadt to SG Kronau / Östringen , the Rhein-Neckar Löwen junior team . At SG, he played in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga and was also part of the extended third division squad . For the 2015/16 season Salger moved from SG Kronau / Östringen to third division club SG Leutershausen , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga this season . In the season 2016/17 the immediate re-descent followed. For the 2017/18 season , Salger moved to the first division club TVB 1898 Stuttgart after two years in Leutershausen , but was still eligible to play for Leutershausen with a second game right . He played his first game in the Bundesliga with the TVB on August 24, 2017 against MT Melsungen . In summer 2018 he moved to TSG Friesenheim . Salger has been a member of the MT Melsungen Bundesliga squad since July 1, 2019.

Salger has played 28 games for the German U-21 national team . At the U-20 European Championships in Denmark in 2016, he reached the final with Germany. In 2016 Salger was nominated for the B national team. In 2017 Salger took part in the U-21 World Cup in Algeria.

Salger holds the position of a right backcourt player .

Personal

Salger completed training as a physiotherapist . In 2016 he made up his technical diploma.

Salger lives in Neckarrems .
