Matthias Hart (born April 25, 1979 in Tegernsee , Bavaria ) is a former German ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with TEV Miesbach in the Bavarian Ice Hockey League .

Career

Matthias Hart began his career in 1996 in the then third-class regional league with his home club TEV Miesbach. In 1999 the winger moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for EC Bad Tölz . With the traditional club, Hart reached the runner-up in the 2000/2001 season, but the club waived promotion to the German ice hockey league . From the following season, Hart played in the top German league because he signed a contract with the DEG Metro Stars . In the three years in Düsseldorf he reached the play-offs twice with the team , but was eliminated in the quarter-finals.

In the 2004/05 season , Hart moved to DEG's Rhenish rival, the Kölner Haien , where he played for a year under Hans Zach . But even with Cologne , Hart did not get past the quarter-finals. In addition, Hart - also due to a protracted injury - remained without a scorer point for the entire season and subsequently did not receive a new contract with the KEC. The left-handed shooter played again for the next three years in the 2nd Bundesliga at SC Bietigheim-Bissingen . As so often in his career, Hart failed with the Steelers twice in the play-off quarter-finals. The 2008/09 season spent hard at the Star Bulls Rosenheim in the league and was one of 40 points scorer of the most successful players of the team in the play-off semi-final on later promoted Kaufbeuren ESV failed. Since summer 2009 Hart has been playing again for his home club TEV Miesbach in the fourth-class Bavarian ice hockey league. In 2010 he won the title in the Bayern League with the team, but the Miesbacher renounced promotion to the Oberliga.
