Matthias Küfner (born April 28, 1981 in Bayreuth ) is a former German goalkeeper .

Career

Küfner started playing football at BSV 98 Bayreuth and continued it at city rivals SpVgg Bayreuth . In 1996 he moved to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich ; with the B youth team he won the German B junior championship on July 20, 1997 in Unterhaching with the 3-0 victory over the B youth team from Werder Bremen. For the 1999/2000 season he moved up to the second team, for which he played 16 point games in two seasons in the third-class Regionalliga Süd . He made his senior debut on August 14, 1999 (3rd matchday) in a 2-1 win in the away game against Karlsruher SC II .

For the 2001/02 season he was obliged by league competitor Wacker Burghausen , for whom he had a share in the South German Championship with his point games on the last two match days . In the following season he contributed with five league games (2 wins, 1 draw, 2 defeats) to stay in the 2nd Bundesliga .

He was then signed by Bundesliga club TSV 1860 Munich . He belonged to the squad of the first team, but played exclusively for the amateur team in the fourth-class Bayernliga .

From 2005 to 2007 he played 80 point games for Halleschen FC in the fourth-class Oberliga Nordost . He then returned to Bavaria and joined the second team at SpVgg Bayern Hof for six months before joining 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 in the fifth-class Bayern league at the beginning of 2008 . With the relegation of Schweinfurt to the Bavarian regional league , he left the club and joined the league competitor and promoted player in the Bavarian regional league TSV Neudrossenfeld , for whom he played 161 points in the Bayernliga Nord until the end of 2015, the last season - due to promotion - denied.
