Matthias Renger
Matthias Renger (born July 29, 1985 in Meerbusch ) is a German actor and voice actor .
Life
Renger completed his acting studies at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich, which he graduated in 2011. Parallel to his studies, he played in various film and theater productions, such as in 2008 and 2009 in the plays Dogville and Manderlay at the Metropoltheater (director: Jochen Schölch ). Since then he has been working as a freelance actor, speaker in radio plays, in the field of film dubbing and at readings, for example in the Literaturhaus Munich and the Prinzregententheater .
Other stations in his career so far have been, for example, the Residenztheater in Munich ( Kathrin Rögglas We Don't Sleep , Director: Gregor Tureček ), the Nibelungen Festival Worms ( Hebbels Nibelungen - Born to die , Director: Dieter Wedel ) and the Zurich Theater ( Tankred Dorsts Merlin , Director: Christian Stückl ). At the Karlsruhe Chamber Theater he was seen as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Peter Shaffer's play Amadeus (director: Ingmar Otto ).
He has a close artistic collaboration with director and author Tobias Ginsburg . In 2011/12 he played in his play Nest Verification in the Reaktorhalle Munich, in 2012 he could be seen in the play development Finally at the Schauburg , in 2014 the play Radikal followed. Monument of Decay in the i-camp Munich and 2015 Goldland at the Augsburg Theater . 2016 he worked together with Ginsburg and the Chadian the dance theater choreographer Ahmed Taigué You and I and the ocean in between .
From October 2013 to September 2014 he played Billy in the play Companions based on the novel War Horse by Michael Morpurgo at the Theater des Westens Berlin . The play was a co-production by Stage Entertainment and the UK's Royal National Theater and directed by Polly Findley .
