Matthias Witt (born September 14, 1951 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ), former member of the Hamburg parliament and auditor .

Life

Matthias Witt graduated from the Johanneum School of Academics . He studied business administration and law at the University of Hamburg . During and after his studies he worked for an auditing firm and Commerzbank AG .

After completing his tax consultant exam 1982 Matthias Witt founded with Peter Roggelin, Thomas Wülfing and later Hamburg mayor Ole von Beust in Hamburg, a tax consultant and lawyer law firm . In 1988 he passed the sworn auditor exam. In 1996, after passing his exams, he was appointed auditor.

Matthias Witt was a partner in the law firm "WRD Witt Roschowski Dieckert" based in Hamburg , Berlin , Schwerin , Dresden and Frankfurt am Main . Matthias Witt has been the owner and managing director of the law firm "Witt - Wirtschaftsprüfer, Rechtsanwälte und Steuerberater" since 2016. He is chairman of the supervisory board of FenderTeam AG, Hamburg, chairman of the advisory board of Hellersdorf I GBR and a member of the supervisory board of f & w foster und Wohnen AöR .

Matthias Witt is a member of the German-French society "Cluny" and of the North German regatta club NRV .

Matthias Witt has four children.

Witt is politically involved in the CDU . In 1977 he was elected deputy state chairman of the Junge Union . Two years later he did not run again for professional reasons. From 1984 to 1988 he was chairman of the CDU local branch in Winterhude . He is an auditor and member of the finance commission of the CDU Hamburg . In 1990 he was elected deputy district chairman of the CDU in the Hamburg-Nord district.

From 1974 to 1979 Witt was a member of the district assembly in the Hamburg-Nord district. Before being elected to the Hamburg parliament, he was a deputy to the financial and judicial authorities of the city of Hamburg. He was a member of the Hamburg parliament from 1978 to 1993. In the 14th electoral term he was parliamentary group spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for assets and public companies and a member of the committee of the same name .
