Maucha Adnet

Maucha Adnet (born June 11, 1963 in Rio de Janeiro as Maria Lucia Gonçalves Adnet ) is a Brazilian jazz singer and songwriter who became known as the interpreter of the Música Popular Brasileira .

Live and act

Adnet comes from a musical family; her siblings are the musicians Mario Adnet, Chico Adnet and Muiza Adnet. In 1978 she began her career with the vocal formation Céuda Boca and accompanied singers such as Chico Buarque , Edu Lobo , Joyce , César Camargo Mariano , Dorival Caymmi and Caetano Veloso . From 1984 to 1994 she was a member of Antônio Carlos Jobim's Banda Novo group . She toured with her several times and recorded several groundbreaking albums, such as Antonio Brasileiro , which was awarded a Grammy .

She later worked internationally with musicians such as Charlie Byrd , Hiram Bullock , Harry Allen , Wynton Marsalis , Eliane Elias , Kenny Barron , Ryūichi Sakamoto and João Gilberto .
