Max Hermens (born October 31, 1997 ) is a Dutch ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tilburg Trappers in the Oberliga Nord , the third highest German division, since 2017 .

Career

Clubs

Max Hermens began his career as a hockey player with the Zoetermeer Panters , for which he made his debut at the age of 14 in the Eerste divisie , the second highest division in the Netherlands. For the 2013/14 season he moved to the Eindhoven Kemphanen , for which he only came to one game in the honor division . Mostly he played with the "talent team" of the Dutch Ice Hockey Federation in the Eerste divisie. In 2014 he moved to Sweden, where he was initially on the ice for the U18 and U20 teams of Nacka HK . At the beginning of 2016 he moved to the Malmö Redhawks in the J20 SuperElit , the highest junior division in Sweden. For the following season he returned to Nacka and came there in addition to his games in the U20 to appearances in the men's team hockeyettan . In 2017 he returned to the Netherlands and plays there with the Tilburg Trappers in the Oberliga Nord , the third-highest German division, which he won with the team in 2018.

International

For the Netherlands, Hermens took part in the Division II games of the U18 World Championships in 2013 , 2014 when he was the best assists in the tournament, and in 2015 when he again gave the most assists and was also top scorer of the tournament with his compatriot Guus van Nes , as well as the U20 World Cup in 2015 and 2017 .

In the men's national team , Hermens played for the first time at the 2016 World Cup in Division II when he was promoted to Division I. There he played at the 2017 .
