Maxim Wladimirowitsch Beljajew ( Russian Максим Владимирович Беляев ; born August 24, 1979 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Ertis Pavlodar in the Kazakh championship since January 2018 .

Career

Maxim Beljajew began his career as a hockey player in his Kazakh homeland with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , for whose professional team he was active between 1998 and 2003 in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division. Then the attacker played for two years alternately for Kasachmys Karaganda in Wysschaja League, and the Kazakh Cup , in which he was in 2005 top scorer and top scorer before he 2005-2008 in the Russian Super League for Salavat Yulaev Ufa and HK Lada Togliatti on the ice.

The 2008/09 season began Belyayev again at HK Lada Tolyatti, who had since been included in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . During the season he also played eleven games for the only Kazakh KHL participant Barys Astana , before he returned to Lada Tolyatti for the playoffs. The following season the Kazakh national player spent at his ex-club Kaszink-Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk in the Vysschaya League. He was then committed for the 2010/11 season by the Russian KHL promoted HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk and completed 99 KHL games for Ugra in the following two game years. He then received a contract with Amur Khabarovsk , but returned to HK Ugra after only 15 missions for Amur. After he had spent the 2013/14 season at his home club from Ust-Kamenogorsk in the Wysschaja Hockey League , he played for league rivals HK Ryazan the following year . In 2015/16 he was under contract with HK Saryarka Karaganda , who also competes in the Wysschaja Hockey League. Then it went back to Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk. In January 2018 he joined the HK Ertis Pavlodar from the Kazakh championship .

International

For Kazakhstan , Belyayev took part in the junior division of the U18 championships of Asia and Oceania in 1997 , when the team won the silver medal, as well as the U20-A World Championships in 1998 and 1999 .

In the senior division, he played at the World Championships in Division I in 2008 , 2009 , 2011 and 2013 and in the Top Division in 2006 . At the World Championships in 2009, 2011 and 2013, he and his team achieved promotion to the top division as group first in Division I. At the Winter Asian Games 2011 he won the title with the Kazakh team with a 4-1 win in the decisive game against Japan . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 .
