Meco HKFC International 2016

The HKFC International 2015 was held from 25 to 28 May 2016 in Hong Kong instead. The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2015/16 and belonged to the PSA 25 category . The women's tournament was part of the women's PSA World Tour 2015/16 and also belonged to the PSA 25 category .

The men's competition was won by Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan with a final victory against Paul Coll . The game ended 11: 6, 11: 8 and 11: 8 for Adnan. In the women's final, Joelle King prevailed 11: 9, 11: 9, 9:11 and 11: 9 against Joshana Chinappa . Last year's winners were Max Lee for the men and Annie Au for the women. Lee was eliminated in the opening round, Au reached the semifinals.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. 16 players competed in the women's competition, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Wong Chi-Him in the men's and Carmen Lee a spot in the main draw for the ladies.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 25,000 each.
