The MediaPaper is the school newspaper of the elementary and community school in Schwarzenbek (Duchy of Lauenburg district, Schleswig-Holstein).

history

The MediaPaper was founded in the 1995/1996 school year as a school newspaper at the Schwarzenbek secondary school . This was made easier by the new option of setting up a compulsory elective course (WPK) that is also non-subject-specific and interdisciplinary. The editors were the compulsory elective courses “Media” of the ninth and tenth grades under the direction of secondary school teacher Dirk Lenke. The result was a magazine that had published a total of 88 issues by the time the secondary school was converted on July 31, 2009.

After the merger of the Realschule Schwarzenbek with the elementary and secondary school Friedrich-Wilhelm-Compe-Schule Schwarzenbek to form the elementary and community school Schwarzenbek, the magazine was continued under the same name. Since then, the editors have been the students of the compulsory elective course (WPU) "Medienkunde".

With the daughter of a founding member, who wrote for MediaPaper from 2015 to 2019 , a second generation worked for this school newspaper.

Since then it has been repeatedly adapted to the seasons or key topics. The logo's forerunner was a simple feather drawn by Jennifer Jekubik. The nib was first used in issue 53 (April 7, 2004). Sonngard Stropahl designed the logo for the 20th anniversary (issue 122, November 22, 2015), it shows the number 2 as a swan and the number 0 as the moon.
