PAX 497/341 of the World Institute of Science is leading an archaeological mission in an ancient sunken ship that sits at the bottom of what was once the Pacific. He finds the novel Forbidden Love by Elizabeth Barrett and US $ 20,000 from 2012 in an old casket . He studies the book and wonders about certain concepts such as love , passion and sex . Since he does not receive an answer, he asks BOB 359/704, who tells him about love and says that it is like a virus that was responsible for almost all the evils of mankind. Since this is not enough for him as an answer, he would like to travel from his time, April 5, 3127, to April 3, 2011, in order to receive answers to his questions from Elizabeth within 48 hours. She works in New Orleans as an editor at the Strange Times , a newspaper that specializes in supernatural news. He visits her where she thinks he is a madman about whom all she has to do is write a new article. He tells her about his future and how humanity has developed into a utopian society six centuries after the impact of the comet Avadar in 2386. But during his telling he asks strange questions and also behaves strangely. So Elizabeth goes to jambala dinner with him first , maybe to find out more about him. But he is so embarrassed that Elizabeth is ashamed of him and tries to leave.

However, Pax does not give up and asks for another meeting. Since she wants to present her book Forbidden Love at a party that evening, she says Pax should perhaps explore life in the 21st century before they meet again the next evening. Pax goes to a bar, where he gets drunk and pays with $ 100 bills, which American intelligence later becomes aware of as they are about a year from the future. But before that, Pax drunk visited the Maison Bonaparte , where Elizabeth presented her book, and embarrassed her in front of the entire party. She throws him out, horrified, and says she will never hear from him again. But her editor-in-chief says the next morning that he definitely wants to turn her article about future people into a column. Pax agrees, but on one condition: Elizabeth should show him what love is. She shows him couples in love, weddings and kissing people. As Elizabeth explains that a kiss is a sign of affection, Pax kisses her. Although she doesn't seem averse, she reacts negatively. Because that same evening she has a meal with her boyfriend, at which Richard will propose to her.

The next morning, Pax and Elizabeth meet. However, the conversation is interrupted by the secret service, which arrests them both. During the interrogation, Pax explains that he is a time traveler and that he found the money in the future. Of course the agents don't believe him. They release Elizabeth, who tearfully assures Pax that his story is not a lie, and they want to lock Pax away for a long time. Therefore, they also take away all utensils from him, including his watch, without which he cannot travel back to the future. When Bob then realizes that only the watch has returned, but not Pax, he himself travels to 2011 to save Pax. However, things go wrong, so they have to flee from the secret service. So they drive to Elizabeth's editorial office, where Pax asks them to come back to his time. Since she refuses, Bob and Pax travel alone, leaving behind astonished employees and agents. In the future, Pax is badly hit by Elizabeth's loss, so that, after studying his sound recordings, he travels back to Valentine's Day 2010, where he meets Elizabeth instead of Richard himself and they both fall in love.

The film celebrated its free TV premiere on January 22, 2014 on Disney Channel , which switched to free TV on January 17, 2014.
