action

Reed Fish has inherited his father’s legacy and provides the remote small town of Mud Meadows with the latest daily information via local radio. In his private life, he has to grapple with the preparations for the upcoming wedding with his childhood friend Kate. When the pretty Jill returns home from university, Reed's feelings get mixed up. The two get closer and there is a kiss; Reed admits it to Kate, revealing his doubts about the wedding to her. This is surprisingly insightful for Reed and he loses all livelihood. He cannot choose between the two women and thus loses both. Finally he quits his job at the radio and filmed his story - the result was the film up to this point. He closes with the knowledge that he has grown up. He received great applause when the film was shown. In the end, he gets together with the real Jill.

criticism

"Carefree independent comedy with convincing actors that perfectly entertains with a good dose of situation comedy ."

“I'm Reed Fish” is an entertaining comedy that offers a lot of situational comedy without digging into the bottom drawer of embarrassing silliness. It's about growing up and having to make decisions, and is for the most part wonderfully light-hearted. Reed does not spare us the original American Just-Be-Yourself formula of happiness either. But that doesn't seriously detract from the conversation, especially since it doesn't come across as too penetrating missionary. All in all, the pleasant feeling of an independent production is retained, which can bring joy to a broad audience without completely ingratifying itself with the mainstream or appearing unprofessional.
