Valerie Azlynn (* 25. November 1980 in New London , Connecticut as Valerie Asselin ) is an American actress .

Life

Valerie Azlynn was born Valerie Asselin in 1980 in New London, Connecticut and grew up there. At the age of eleven, she was diagnosed with an atrial septal defect , which was surgically corrected two years later. She attended The Williams School and Waterford High School before moving to New York City at the age of 17 . There she worked at the theater in Manhattan, where she learned to sing and act. She later moved to Los Angeles to gain a foothold as a film actress.

Valerie Azlynn made her acting debut in the 1998 adventure film Navy Kids . As an angel , she starred in the 2005 mystery thriller Constantine by Francis Lawrence with Keanu Reeves . She got a role as a model in the comedy In Love with a Witch , which is a film adaptation of the television series of the same name . She stood next to Nicole Kidman , who is the witch Isabel Bigelow and Will Ferrell as Jack Wyatt , who falls in love with the witch, in front of the camera. In the same year she appeared in two episodes of the sitcom Joey as Candace . Valerie Azlynn played the role of Kate Peterson in the 2006 comedy film My Name is Fish and was seen as a passenger in Poseidon . This was followed by several guest appearances on television series such as The Certain Dragging of Two and a Half Men alongside Charlie Sheen , Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones , the Bloody Diamonds by CSI: NY and The Ideal Couple by How I Met Your Mother , all in 2006 and in 2008 in Rules of Engagement subsequently Five Kilos through Monday . In Tropic Thunder by and with Ben Stiller , she played the assistant to Steve Coogan's character. In addition to two other guest appearances in the film year 2009, she played the role of Bridget in the futuristic action thriller Surrogates - My Second Self . From 2009 to 2010 she embodied the role of Veronica in two episodes of the youth series iCarly , whereby her first appearance was not mentioned in the credits. She starred in the 15-minute short comedy The Third Rule alongside Anthony Hopkins and Jason Biggs . From 2011 to 2012, Azlynn appeared in three episodes of the crime series Castle and one episode of the drama series Southland . Since 2012 she has played the paramedic Melanie Sutton in Sullivan & Son, who is adored by the main character Steve (played by Steve Byrne ).
