Victor Rasuk (born January 15, 1984 in New York City , New York ) is an American film actor .

Life

Victor Rasuk, whose parents are from the Dominican Republic , was born in Harlem , New York . His younger brother Silvestre Rasuk is also an actor today.

Rasuk made his film debut in 1999 when he played an extra role in the comedy film Immaculate at the age of 15 . Only a year later he was discovered by director Peter Sollett , who hired him for his short film Five Feet High and Rising . When Sollett staged his first full-length feature film in New York in 2002 , he came back to Victor Rasuk, who was again engaged for one of the leading roles. In 2004 he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for his portrayal of Victor Vargas .

After further appearances in television series, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , he appeared in 2005 in Dogtown Boys in a major feature film in front of the camera. He quickly made the step from independent film to so-called popcorn cinema . One of his most recently known films was the historical drama Che - Revolución , produced in 2008 and directed by Steven Soderbergh . Between 2008 and 2009 he also appeared in six episodes of Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme . From 2009 to 2011 Rasuk played a leading role in the television series How to Make It in America .
