Meir ben Isaac Katzenellenbogen ( Hebrew מאיר בן יצחק קצנלנבויגן; * around 1482 in Katzenelnbogen , Ebertshausen ; † January 12, 1565 in Padua , also called Meir of Padua , Maharam Padua ) was a Venetian Jewish scholar, Rabbi of Padua and Venice.

After studying in Prague at the school of the then famous scholar Jakob Pollak , he went to Padua and attended the yeshiva of Judah Minz , whose granddaughter he later married. He succeeded his father-in-law Abraham Minz in office as Rabbi of Padua, which he held until his death. Meir's official seat was Padua, but as Rabbi of Venice he visited the lagoon city several times a year. After his death, his son Rabbi Shmuel-Yehudah took over the office of Rabbi of Venice.

He was considered one of the most important experts on the Talmud and the rabbinate's affairs .
