Meredith Hope Eaton (born August 26, 1974 , Long Island , New York ), also known as Meredith Eaton-Gilden , is an American actress .

Acting career

Eaton's acting career began in 2001 with guest appearances on the series New York Cops - NYPD Blue and Dharma & Greg as well as a major supporting role in the third and final season of the drama series Woman Power (original title: Family Law ). According to an interview with TLC, the role of Emily Resnick , which she played for 14 episodes, was written especially for her. In 2002 she starred alongside Kathy Bates and Rupert Everett in the comedy Who Killed Victor Fox? (Original title: Unconditional Love ). In the third to fifth seasons of the justice series Boston Legal , Eaton was seen in a total of 18 episodes as lawyer Bethany Horowitz . She also had guest appearances and minor supporting roles in the series CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators , Dr. House , Without a Trace , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Navy CIS .

Private life

Eaton grew up in a small town on the south coast of Long Island in the US state of New York. From 1992 to 1996 she studied at Hofstra University , New York, and then completed her master's degree in clinical psychology at the Derner Institute at Adelphi University, New York . In an interview with Hofstra University, she stated that she used the psychological training to prepare for her roles. She also sees the conclusion as an "alternative plan" if acting is no longer an option.

On May 20, 2001 she married the actor Michael Gilden and was in a relationship with him until his death on December 5, 2006. She has been married to photographer Brian S. Gordon since October 12, 2008, and the couple have one child.

Eaton is short with a height of 1.30 meters.
