Mesgen Amanow

Mesgen Amanow (at the World Chess Federation FIDE Mesgen Amanov ; born September 6, 1986 in Daşoguz ) is a Turkmen chess player . He has the title of Grand Master .

Life

Amanow was named International Master in 2007 , he fulfilled the required standards in January 2006 at the Parsvnath Open in Delhi , in February 2006 at the Turkmen Championship in Ashgabat and in April 2006 at the Dubai Open . The grandmaster title was awarded to him in 2009, he fulfilled the required standards in 2008 at two tournaments in Alushta . His Elo rating is 2436 (as of April 2020). This would put him in third place in the Turkmen Elo ranking, but is listed as inactive because he has not played an Elo-rated chess game since the 24th Chicago Open in May 2015. He had his highest Elo rating of 2541 in September 2011.

Amanow is also a well-known chess teacher and works closely with Yury Shulman , also a grandmaster.

National team

Amanov took part with Turkmenistan in the 2006 , 2008 , 2010 and 2012 Chess Olympiads , the 2005 Asian Team Championship and the 2006 Asian Games chess competition.

He played club chess in Turkmenistan for Galkynysh , with whom he also took part in the 2008 Asian Club Cup. In the United States Chess League , he played for Chicago Blaze in 2010 and 2011 .
