Meshari Suroor Saad (born July 2, 1987 ) is a Kuwaiti shot putter .

Athletic career

Meshari Suroor Saad gained his first international experience at the 2005 Asian Championships in Incheon , where he finished eleventh with 16.79 m. He then finished fifth at the Pan-Arab Games in Tunis with 17.20 m, as well as at the Indoor Asian Games in Bangkok with 17.21 m. The following year he won the silver medal behind the Thai Sarayudh Pinitjit at the Asian Indoor Championships in Pattaya with a width of 17.29 m . At the Junior World Championships in Beijing he reached fifth place with 19.79 m and was tenth at the Asian Games in Doha with 17.22 m. In 2007 he finished sixth at the Arab Championships in Amman and was seventh at the Asian Championships there with 17.29 m. At the Indoor Asian Games in Macau he reached fifth place with 17.29 m. In 2008 he finished sixth at the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha with 17.61 m and in 2009 he won the silver medal at the Arab Championships in Damascus with 18.81 m. He then finished seventh at the Asian Championships in Guangzhou with 18.51 m and was fourth at the Indoor Asian Games in Hanoi with 18.43 m. The following year he won the silver medal behind the Indian Satyender Singh at the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran with 18.78 m .

In 2011 he won the Pan-Arab Championships in al-Ain with 19.15 m and in 2013 he won the silver medal behind Saudi Sultan Abdulmajeed Alhabashi at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Palembang with 18.59 m . In 2014 he was fourth at the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou with 18.26 m and finished sixth at the Asian Games in Incheon with 18.64 m. In 2017 he failed to make a valid attempt at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar , as well as at the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran the following year. In 2019 he won the bronze medal at the Arab Championships in Cairo with 19.08 m and was seventh at the Asian Championships in Doha with 18.62 m.

In 2009 and 2014, Saad became the Kuwaiti champion in the shot put.
