Mia Eriksson (born June 20, 1987 in Gällivare ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Eriksson, who starts for the Piteå Elit SK , has been taking part in FIS races and the Scandinavian Cup since 2006 . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2006 in Kranj , she finished 13th over 5 km classic and ninth place in the sprint. In the World Cup they started the first time in November 2006 in Gällivare and won it the 19th place in the relay. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2007 in Tarvisio she came in 13th place in the skiathlon , on the sixth place over 5 km freestyle and on the fifth place in the sprint. She ran her first individual World Cup race in Stockholm in March 2007 , which she finished in 47th place in the sprint. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season she got her first World Cup points in Düsseldorf with ninth place in the sprint. This is also her best individual placement in the World Cup. In the further course of the season she took third place twice in the Scandinavian Cup and took her first and only victory in the Scandinavian Cup in the sprint in Ulricehamn . She finished fourth in the overall ranking. In November 2010 she came 34th at the Nordic Opening in Kuusamo . She finished the Tour de Ski 2012/13 in 41st place and the Tour de Ski 2018/19 in 26th place.

Eriksson was the Swedish sprint champion in 2008 , in the team sprint with Charlotte Kalla in 2009 and in 2014 with the Piteå Elit SK relay.
