STS-125

Massimino's second mission to the Hubble Space Telescope started on May 11, 2009 aboard Atlantis . During two space exits, Massimino reactivated the Space Telescope Imaging Spectograph (STIS) by repairing it. Here he had to tear off a handle from the Hubble telescope because a bolt could not be loosened. The landing took place on May 24, 2009 at Edwards Air Force Base .
