Michael Joseph Begley (born March 12, 1909 in Mattineague , Massachusetts , USA ; † February 9, 2002 ) was Bishop of Charlotte .

Life

Michael Joseph Begley received on 26 March 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 30, 1971, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Charlotte. The Apostolic Delegate to the United States, Archbishop Luigi Raimondi , donated him episcopal ordination on January 12, 1972 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Raleigh , Vincent Stanislaus Waters , and the Auxiliary Bishop of Raleigh, George Edward Lynch .

On May 29, 1984, Pope John Paul II accepted Michael Joseph Begley's resignation on grounds of age.
