Michael Ludwig von Diezelsky
Michael Ludwig von Diezelsky (born September 16, 1708 in Western Pomerania ; † May 10, 1779 in Berlin ) was the third chief of the Berlin Invalid Corps and the Invalid House .
Life
Michael Ludwig was a member of the Polish - Pomeranian noble family von Diezelsky , who were wealthy near Lauenburg and Neustadt .
He joined the Forcade on Foot regiment in 1724 . There he became staff captain in 1747 and company commander in 1753 . in March 1749 he was promoted to major and in May 1767 to colonel and commander of the regiment. In 1774 he received the Pour le Mérite and on December 30, 1775 was appointed the new head of the Berlin Invalid Corps and the Invalidenhaus.
After his death he was buried in the Invalidenfriedhof . His grave monument was designed by Bernhard Rode .
