Michael Niekammer (born April 2, 1961 in Rostock - Warnemünde ) is a German singer , actor , radio presenter , text writer and artist manager.

Life

Niekammer grew up in Warnemünde. After completing his apprenticeship as a skilled worker for communications technology , he worked as a waiter and restaurateur. In 1978 he met the singer Ekkehard Göpelt , whom he followed a short time later to Berlin . Since 1985 Niekammer has also been working as a text writer ( Ask Mrs. Schmidt for Ekki Göpelt, We from the North for De Plattfööt ). After the end of the GDR , Niekammer finally began writing songs in 1990 and wrote song lyrics for Dagmar Frederic , Jürgen Walter and Günter Pfitzmann . With Ekki Göpelt, he has also appeared in joint show programs since the early 1990s, which included hits , evergreens and skits . There he showed himself in various disguises, with travesty inserts and as a singing clown. Niekammer also acts as a manager and organizer for these programs.

As radio hosts were Niekammer and Göpelt 14 years, the Sunday treat for Antenne Brandenburg , in Radio Brocken and the Berliner Rundfunk 91.4 operates. Later both presented a hit program via internet radio . Tours took him to Canada , among others , where he performed alongside Olaf Berger .

For a time, Niekammer was co-owner of Hansen Records , a small music publisher that he founded with his singing colleague Michael Hansen . He withdrew from this business.

On television he was also seen as an actor and played a. a. in Verliebt in Berlin ( Sat.1 ), Das Familiengericht ( RTL ) and a longer role in the series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten (RTL). Here he is often cast as an inscrutable, mostly scheming man. For three years he presented the program Klatsch & Tratsch on rbb television , and also presented a Long Saturday and the Super Wirt Parade on MDR television .

At the beginning of 2008, he and Göpelt took over a series of musical events at Schloss Diedersdorf near Berlin, which was organized under the name Schlagerscheune . From September 1, 2008 to the beginning of 2013, Niekammer was music director at the nationwide hit and folk music channel Radio Paloma , where he presented Monday to Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. together with Anika Reichel as the Guten Morgen Deutschland team . In 2013, he switched from Radio Paloma to the hit broadcaster Radio B2 , where Niekammer and Ekki Göpelt presented, among other things, the program Die 2 ab 2 . Niekammer works for Deutsches Musik Fernsehen , which is based in Berlin.

Michael Niekammer has a son from a previous marriage and lives in Berlin- Prenzlauer Berg .
