Michael Pand (born July 27, 1955 in Hainburg an der Donau ; born Michael Gspandl ) is an Austrian actor , writer , radio play writer and documentary filmmaker .

Life

At the age of 17, Michael Pand left the high school boarding school HTL Spengergasse and reached Beirut as a hitchhiker . After his return he lived in a shared apartment. From 1973 to 1976 he had acting lessons at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna . In 1977/78 he visited the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York , encouraged by Nastassja Kinski, who was introduced to him by Alexander Zellermayer .

Pand made his debut at the Theater an der Wien in 1973 with the title role in Unger's Spartakus . In 1974 he was on stage at the Theater am Kärntnertor in A didactic play in blood and roses , directed by Hans Gratzer, in 1975 again at the Theater an der Wien in the play The Swan by Ferenc Molnár . In 1976 he played at the Munich Chamber Theater in Spring Awakening , 1977 at the Festival Hellbrunn in Marivauxs The sample and as a guest student / scholarship 1978 in all ages of Botho Strauss at the theater on Hallesches Ufer .
