Michael Post examines phenomena of perception in his objects: My own wall objects visualize interactions between related surfaces; they are based on precise geometric structures. The material used is sheet steel, which is painted with acrylic paint either on both sides or on one side. They are attached to the wall by means of a magnetic device so that they protrude from the wall in relief . The perspective and perception of the work of art change depending on the viewing angle and the lighting conditions. These interactions are intentional: Due to the internal structures of the surface, an overall shape is created that stands out from the classic picture formats and enters into a dialogue with the wall surface on which it is placed.
