Michael William Warfel (born September 16, 1948 in Elkhart ) is an American clergyman and bishop of Great Falls-Billings .

Life

Michael William Warfel was ordained a priest on April 26, 1980 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Juneau on November 19, 1996 . The Archbishop of Anchorage , Francis Thomas Hurley , donated him episcopal ordination on December 17 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Michael Joseph Kaniecki SJ , Bishop of Fairbanks , and William Stephen Skylstad , Bishop of Spokane .

He was Apostolic Administrator of Fairbanks from October 23, 2001 to June 7, 2002 during the Sedis vacancy .

On November 20, 2007 Pope Benedict XVI had him . Appointed Bishop of Great Falls-Billings and inducted into office on January 16 next year.
