Michael Zallet

Michael Zallet (born December 23, 1961 in Essen ) is a German general physician and department head B in the medical service command of the Bundeswehr .

Michael Zallet joined in 1981 as a sanitary officer candidate at the Medical Academy of the Bundeswehr in Munich in the German army, and then studied at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn Medicine , 1987, his license to practice medicine . He then worked as a troop doctor in the 7th Panzer Reconnaissance Battalion in Augustdorf until 1990 , then for a year as a troop doctor and teaching staff officer at the Army NCO School III in Lahnstein . Then he was corps doctor at III. Corps in Koblenz .

This was followed by several assignments in the Federal Ministry of Defense , including as the inspector of the medical service , until 1999 and then as department head of the command area 1 in the medical office of the Bundeswehr , both in Bonn. From 2001 to 2003 Zallet was the commander of the KRK military hospital and deputy chief physician at the Bundeswehr Central Hospital in Koblenz , during which time he took part in the foreign deployment in the Balkans in 2002 as the chief medical officer and commander of the medical operations association of the 5th German Army Contingent at SFOR .

After serving as head of department in the management staff of the medical service and as chief physician at the Bundeswehr Hospital Hamburg (2006–2009), Zallet became department head IV in the personnel office of the Bundeswehr in Cologne , then in 2012 he took over the command of the Bundeswehr central hospital in Koblenz as chief physician. Since July 2015 he has been Head of Department B in the Medical Service Command of the German Armed Forces in Koblenz.
