Michael von Mossner (* 1947 in Landshut ) is a German film producer and screenwriter.

Michael von Mossner began his career in 1976 at Bavaria Film GmbH as an editorial assistant for the satirical television series Notes from the Province . In 1982 von Mossner was responsible for producing the comedy series Büro, Büro , which was broadcast on ARD . In 1987 he moved to Südwestfunk as deputy head of entertainment , where he produced formats such as Michael Schanze's show Flitterabend (from 1988) and series such as Air Albatros (1992/93), Harry & Sunny (1993) and Der Havelkaiser (1994).

In 1994 von Mossner switched back to Bavaria Film GmbH. His biggest project as chief producer there from 1994 to 2000 was the ARD soap opera Marienhof . At the same time he also took over the ARD series Father Against Will (1998 and 2001) and produced the television film “Typisch Ed!” (1999).

From 1998 to 2002 Michael von Mossner also acted as managing director of the Stuttgart-based Maran Film GmbH , for which he produced the youth series fabrixx and its first 90-minute film, “Nachts, When der Tagommen . In addition, he was the producer of the SWR - Tatorte around Commissioner Bienzle.

In 2005, von Mossner was investigated in connection with forbidden surreptitious advertising, particularly in the Marienhof series . He was dismissed from Bavaria Film without notice. Since then Michael von Mossner has been working as a freelance producer for the Cologne media network BT Cologne . In 2006 he produced the telenovela Lotta in Love, which was broadcast on ProSieben , and in 2008 the series 112 - You save your life , broadcast on RTL .
