biography

Michaela Dygruber comes from Rußbach am Pass Gschütt and starts for the local ski club. The middle of three sisters attended the Skihotelfaschschule in Bad Hofgastein , where she skipped third grade.

At the age of 15, Dygruber competed in her first FIS races in Sölden . At the beginning of 2012 she won a national youth championship title in super-G in her age group . Almost three years after her European Cup debut in January 2015, she was able to classify herself in the top ten of a race for the first time with seventh place in the combination of Kvitfjell , which remains her best result for the time being.

On November 17, 2018, she made her World Cup debut in the Levi slalom . At the Sljeme in Zagreb she won World Cup points for the first time in her fifth race in 23rd place. Another place in the points she managed towards the end of the season with 24th place in the slalom of Špindlerův Mlýn . At the Austrian championships in 2019 in Hinterglemm she landed a respectable success by only having to admit defeat to Katharina Liensberger and Katharina Truppe in her favorite discipline, slalom , and thus to win the bronze medal.

Due to a lack of motivation and a lack of success, she announced her retirement from active skiing on July 16, 2020.
