Mietta (2019)

Mietta (* 12. November 1969 in Taranto as Daniela Miglietta ) is an Italian singer .

Career

Mietta began her career in 1987 by winning a radio competition, after which she made her debut at the Sanremo Festival in 1988 with the song Sogno , which did not reach the finals. In 1989 she presented the song Canzoni written by Amedeo Minghi at the Sanremo Festival , with which she was able to take first place in the newcomer category. The song became her first chart hit in Italy. In 1990 she presented the song Vattene amore in a duet with Amedeo Minghi at the Sanremo Festival . The piece reached number three at the festival and was number one in Italy for weeks. In the same year her first album Canzoni was released on the Fonit Cetra label .

In 1991 Mietta again took part in the Sanremo Festival; her song Dubbi no was again written by Amedeo Minghi and reached seventh place. Her second album Volano le pagine was then released . In the following year she released the third album Lasciamoci respirare . With Figli di chi , Mietta returned to Sanremo in 1993 , accompanied by the Ragazzi di Via Meda group , and came in sixth. In 1994 she released the album Cambia pelle , in 1995 Daniela è felice ; both albums could not build on the success of the previous one.

After the singer switched to the WEA label , the new album La mia anima was released in 1998 . Two years later she took part in the Sanremo Festival again with Fare l'amore and subsequently released the best-of album Tutto o niente . In 2003 Per esempio… per amore appeared . The following year she went into the race again in Sanremo with Morris Albert and the song Cuore , and in 2005 she took part in the reality show Music Farm . Mietta released the next album 74100 on the Ambra label . Another Sanremo participation followed in 2008 with the Con il sole nelle mani ( Sony BMG ).

In 2011 Mietta released the album Due soli… on Carosello Records . She also brought out her first novel, L'albero delle giuggiole . In the casting show Star Academy on Rai 2 , the singer acted as a juror, but the show was discontinued after a short time due to poor audience ratings.

She has worked with many famous Italian musicians, such as Mango , Mariella Nava and Biagio Antonacci , all of whom have written songs for her.
