The Migros Ensemble is a Swiss music project that raised money for charity with a single release at the end of 2014.
background
The pre-Christmas project based on the example of Band Aid was initiated by the Swiss retail chain Migros . 23 performers from different parts of the country were won over to record the song ensemble (French for together). The song, written in three of the four national languages - French, German and Italian - was written by Georg Schlunegger, who is part of Roman Camenzind's HitMill team . Schlunegger and Camenzind produced the recording together. The video, shot in the Swiss Alps, was broadcast on television for the first time on November 21, 2014 and the song was then published in the download shops. It rose on November 30 on first place ofSwiss hit parade . The proceeds go equally to four national aid organizations: Swiss Winter Relief , Heks , Caritas and Pro Juventute . The income from the song sales and the accompanying fundraising campaign will be doubled by the retail company (capped to a total of 1 million Swiss francs).
