Noëmi Nadelmann
Noëmi Nadelmann (born March 6, 1962 in Zurich ) is a Swiss opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Noëmi Nadelmann received her vocal training from Indiana University in Bloomington, USA, and made her debut in 1987 in the role of " Musetta " at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice . Despite having a very bright soprano, she initially attracted attention through rather tragic operatic roles. Engagements at the Volksoper Vienna and in various Swiss cities followed. In the 1990s she had engagements at the Gärtnerplatztheater Munich, the Komische Oper Berlin , the State Opera in Munich, the Zurich Opera House and the Paris Opera Bastille .
In Andrzej Żuławski's film Blue Note ( La Note bleue , 1991) Nadelmann played the role of opera singer Pauline Viardot-Garcia alongside Marie-France Pisier and Sophie Marceau . In 1997 she was awarded the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Prize awarded by the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Foundation .
In 2007 she was a member of the expert jury for the 3rd season of the Swiss talent show MusicStar . The Mörbisch Lake Festival she sang in on 12 July 2007 Johann Strauss - operetta Wiener Blut . In 2008, Noëmi Nadelmann sang the role of "Jenny" in the opera Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at the Komische Oper Berlin .
Her repertoire includes a further 57 opera roles, two dozen oratorios and the four musicals West Side Story , Show Boat , My Fair Lady and Kiss me, Kate .
In 2010 the Noëmi-Nadelmann-Chor took part in the television production Kampf der Chöre . When the National Council was sworn in on December 5, 2011, Nadelmann sang the national anthem in all four national languages.
