Mike Harder (born February 8, 1973 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Trenton Devils in the ECHL since 2009 .
Career
Mike Harder began his career as a hockey player in the team at Colgate University , for which he was active from 1993 to 1997, before he made his professional ice hockey debut towards the end of the 1996/97 season, as he was both for the Milwaukee Admirals in the International Hockey League as well as played for the Hamilton Bulldogs in the American Hockey League . After the attacker played mainly for the Milwaukee Admirals in the IHL in the 1997/98 season, he was on the ice for the AHL teams Springfield Falcons , Rochester Americans , Hartford Wolf Pack and Louisville Panthers until 2001 , where he was in the 1999 season / 00 won the Calder Cup with the Hartford Wolf Pack . For the 2001/02 season, the Canadian moved to Europe, where he was active for the HPK Hämeenlinna from the Finnish SM-liiga and Brynäs IF in the Swedish Elitserien .
After a season at HC Meran in the Italian Serie A , Harder received a contract with the Frankfurt Lions from the DEL for the 2003/04 season , with whom he became German champion ; In the 2004 playoffs, Harder scored the winning goal for the Lions in all three series (against the Kölner Haie , Hamburg Freezers and Eisbären Berlin ) in the decisive game. The following season he started with the Charlotte Checkers in the ECHL and finished it with the ERC Ingolstadt in the DEL. Then he was committed by HC Alleghe in the Italian Serie A , for which he played a total of four years. Before the 2009/10 season, Mike Harder signed a contract with the Trenton Devils in the ECHL.
