Millions of Lights is a pop song by the Austrian pop / rock singer Christina Stürmer and her band , which was released on March 29, 2013 by the Polydor label as the first single of their sixth studio album I hear on my heart . The song was first available for download on April 1, 2013.
Emergence
The music and text for the title are written by Tobias Röger; it was produced by Christian Neander and David Jürgens.
Video
The filming of the music video for Millions of Lights took place in California. Filming locations included the RG Club in Venice Beach, an abandoned motel in the middle of the desert near Lancaster, the Hollywood Hills, Downtown LA and Mulholland Drive. The video shoot was directed by the director Andreas Kiddes . A concert was re-enacted at the jazz club in Venice Beach. People they had met personally on site were included in the scenes. A well-traveled American fan and the female waitress of a restaurant appeared in the video, among others.
Chart successes and awards
In Austria, the home of Christina Stürmer, it jumped to number 5 in the charts after its release and stayed in the charts for thirteen weeks. The song only reached 23rd place in 33 chart weeks in Germany. In Switzerland, the best ranking in two chart weeks was 61st.
The single received gold in Germany in 2013 and was awarded the Radio Regenbogen Award 2014 as Best Song of 2013 .
