Prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup was on us by the ARD chosen as "World Cup song" for the daily reports. Thus, the song could be heard in all advertising trailers and summaries around the World Cup on ARD. In the ARD WM Club, which ran every day at the end of a match day, Bourani played the song twice live. After the victory of the German national team in the final against Argentina , the song was played in the Maracanã Stadium . On July 15, 2014 Bourani played the song live at the reception of the German national team on the fan mile in front of the Brandenburg Gate .
Apart from the football World Cup, Auf uns also accompanies the campaign film (TV and cinema commercial) for “50 Years of Aktion Mensch ”. content
The lyrics to Auf uns is written in German. The music and the text were written and composed jointly by Andreas Bourani, Julius Hartog and Tom Olbrich. Musically, the song moves in the area of pop music . The song is about the future and how it will develop for each individual. The text was written in optimistic, positive language throughout. The main message is that "giving up" is not the solution.
“A cheer for what lies ahead,
that there is the best for us.
A cheer for what unites us,
for this time. (At this time)
Cheers for us (us), for this life,
for the moment that will always remain.
Cheers for us (us), for now and forever,
for an infinite day. "
In various interviews, Bourani emphasized that he did not write the song especially for the World Cup. But he is proud that the song developed into a football anthem during the 2014 World Cup. About the creation of the piece, he said the following to the Bunter : “I wrote the song with our guitarist over a year ago, after a great evening with my friends. It was a fun night full of euphoria and the next day I still had the line "To us" in my head - because we toasted each other. We are a big clique. "

Definitely a buy recommendation. "
