Musical career as a solo artist

11 witnesses (2008)

After Daniel Wirtz had released their last album Lovechainsnrockets with Sub7even , he moved to Frankfurt, where the album was made, and worked on the first German-language pieces. The Frankfurt musician and producer Matthias Hoffmann has accompanied Wirtz's solo career musically and commercially from the start. In 2007, Wirtz first presented three titles on its MySpace presence that were clicked on more than a million times. The collaboration finally culminated in the debut album 11 Zeugen , which entered the German album charts at number 94 in April 2008. For the subsequent tour, which Wirtz took through small clubs all over Germany together with Brand New Demon, he took second place in the audience category at the Live Entertainment Award .

11 Zeugen appeared - like all the following albums - on the WirtzMusik label , which Wirtz and Hoffmann operate together and which takes care of the marketing, production and distribution of Wirtz merchandise.

Earthling (2009)

The successor Erdling appeared the following year; the reactions were positive. Michael Edele wrote on laut.de that "'Erdling' [...] was also an all-round good album with thoughtful, never too bold lyrics and mostly melancholy music". Matthias Mineur wrote in Metal Hammer : "With his second solo disc Erdling , Wirtz presents another great rock / alternative rock album, with which Chris Cornell would certainly delight the whole world." The second Wirtz work landed at number 44 on the charts.
