Gibson is a club with a live stage on the Zeil in Frankfurt am Main .

The club was opened in 2012 by the former King Kamehameha maker Madjid Djamegari in the basement of the former Zeilkino . After 14 months of construction, the main room was equipped with a sound system from Martin Audio and a stage with an LED wall . The club holds 900 people in 1600 square meters. In 2013, the club was awarded the Fizzz Award for the best club and is one of the most important club addresses according to dance charts , Süddeutsche Zeitung and various travel guides.

A mixture of house and black music plays in the club on the weekends, with Boy George , David Morales and DJ Katch on a regular basis as DJs . Labels like Ministry of Sound and Hedkandi organized their own nights. On Wednesdays there are after-work parties and on Thursdays there are live events with the in-house cover band .

Artists such as Dua Lipa , Billie Eilish , Fatman Scoop , Haim , Jake Bugg , Tyler, the Creator , Rufus Wainwright , Tokio Hotel , Xavier Naidoo and many more could be welcomed to concerts . The album Live & Unplugged at Gibsonclub Frankfurt by Daniel Wirtz reached number 41 in the German album charts in 2015 .

There was one death in 2015; a 41-year-old guest was struck down with a fist for base motives. The victim then died in hospital, the perpetrator, a member of the Ottoman Germania group , was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.
