Minca Bosch Reitz
Wilhelmina Maria (Minca) Bosch Reitz (born October 8, 1870 in Amsterdam , † January 27, 1950 in Heemstede ) was a Dutch sculptor and author .
Life
Minca Bosch Reitz was born as the daughter of Charles Bosch Reitz (1829–1879), director of a gas factory, and Sara Maria de Balbiaan (1839–1920). Her parents were not married and she grew up with her mother in Amsterdam. In 1881 she married her brother-in-law Dirk Anthonij Bosch Reitz (1820–1899). She received lessons in sculpture from Georgine Schwartze and Bart van Hove and mainly created small sculptures and reliefs. In 1902 she married the heraldist Cornelis Willem Hendrik (Cees) Verster (1862–1920), the younger brother of the painter Floris Verster . The couple lived in Hilversum until 1909 and in Driebergen and Beverwijk until 1919 . Minca Verster-Bosch Reitz died in 1950 at the age of 79 and was buried in Zorgvlied .
