List of world exhibitions

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of world exhibitions includes all events known as world exhibitions excluding the International Horticultural Exhibitions (AIPH) recognized by the BIE. The Bureau International des Expositions ( BIE for short ) has been the official institution for awarding world exhibitions since 1928. The list therefore divides the exhibitions into categories according to the recognition by the BIE.

Categories

BIE-WA BIE-registered world exhibition. All exhibitions in this category that took place before 1928 were retrospectively recognized by the BIE.
