Rodenbeck is a district of the city of Minden in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located south and southwest of the city center.

Rodenbeck is located southwest of the city center of Minden . It is a typical suburb with its own supply structure. The Bastau flows through the district . To the west are the so-called Mindener meadows , which are part of a landscape protection area and are also used for the resettlement of storks .

history

Minden was given ownership to Rodenbeck by Bishop Volquin on May 19, 1280 . The industrial area in Minden-Rodenbeck is an important part of Minden today.

The Ev. Church of St. Thomas (filia of St. Simeonis) was consecrated on May 3, 1964.

The district is characterized on the one hand by settlement houses from the 1940s and on the other hand by apartment buildings that were built after the Second World War .
