Mini Mundus Bodensee (from the Latin mundus 'world') was a miniature park opened on May 8, 2005 in the Liebenau district of Meckenbeur next to the Ravensburger Spieleland . The park showed almost 90 of the most beautiful buildings in the world on a scale of 1:25. Until 2009, the park operator used the spelling Minimundus Bodensee . Before the 2013 season opened, operations were closed.
Miniature park
The last owner of the 40,000 square meter park, which cost around 14.5 million euros, was the Bank for Tyrol and Vorarlberg (BTV). Mini Mundus Bodensee was economically independent from the Minimundus leisure park on Lake Wörthersee near Klagenfurt .
The models were framed by gardens, a restaurant with a terrace and a river with rafts. Original materials were predominantly used in the construction of the models. Most of them were built transportable and were dismantled during the winter break. All models had an information board with details. In addition, there were some multimedia columns that offered images, information and video films on a monitor.
The model of the Burj al Arab hotel in Dubai was the highest model in the park (12.80 m). The most expensive model in Park was the Dresden Zwinger made of Elbe sandstone (like the original), which is worth around 600,000 euros.
The "4D cinema" was one of the highlights of the park.
