The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Ulaştırma ve Altyapı Bakanlığı) is a ministry of the Republic of Turkey based in Ankara . It is headed by a Minister (Bakan) who is often referred to as the Transport Minister / Transport Minister (Ulaştırma Bakanı). The acting minister since March 28, 2020 is Adil Karaismailoğlu ( non-party ). Until July 2018 it was the Ministry of Transport, Shipping and Communications of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Ulaştırma, Denizcilik ve Haberleşme Bakanlığı).
Tasks and areas
The ministry defines the goals and strategies in the areas of transport and communication in Turkey and controls all services relating to this department. The minister heads his ministry. He has four deputy ministers, each of whom leads one area.
