Cabinet Yıldırım

The Yıldırım Cabinet was the 65th government of Turkey and was formed after the resignation of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu on May 22, 2016. Davutoğlu's successor, Binali Yıldırım , presented his new cabinet to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on May 24th . On May 29, it received a vote of confidence from parliament. The reign ended with the parliamentary elections in Turkey on June 24, 2018 . The government remained in office until the new cabinet was sworn in on July 9, 2018.

All ministers are from the AKP . Among them are only two women: the Minister for Family and Social Policy and the Minister for Labor and Social Security.

On July 19, 2017, Yıldırım reshuffled the cabinet: Bekir Bozdağ and Hakan Çavuşoğlu became deputy prime ministers. Abdülhamit Gül became the new Minister of Justice. Recep Akdağ succeeded Nurettin Canikli . Canikli himself became Minister of Defense. In addition, Fikri Işık , Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba, Numan Kurtulmuş , Ahmet Demircan, Jülide Sarıeroğlu and Osman Aşık Bak became new ministers. Süleyman Soylu took up the post of Interior Minister on August 31 of the same year.
