Faruk Özlü (born November 19, 1962 in Düzce ) is a Turkish politician ( Party for Justice and Recovery (AKP)) and former Minister of Science, Industry and Technology.

Life

At the Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Özlü studied mechanical engineering up to a bachelor’s degree , whereupon he obtained both his master’s and doctorate at the İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi . He worked in Spain and at Harvard University for further training and participation in various projects .

Özlü is married and has two children.

For the 2011 parliamentary elections , he ran for his home province of Düzce, but failed to get into parliament , which was not repeated in the two subsequent elections ( June and November 2015 ). In the Cabinet Yıldırım Özlü was 2018 Minister to July.
