Veysel Eroğlu

Veysel Eroğlu

Veysel Eroğlu (born August 18, 1948 in Şuhut County, Afyonkarahisar Province ) is a Turkish university professor, politician of the AKP and former Minister of Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Turkey .

He graduated from the Faculty of Construction at the Istanbul Technical University ( İTÜ ) and the University of İstanbul in the field of history. He wrote his doctoral thesis at İTÜ. In 1994 Eroğlu became a lecturer and in 1991 a professor. He was a member of the executive committee of the Faculty of Construction at İTÜ.

Eroğlu was Minister for Forestry and Water Management from August 29, 2007 to July 2018 under Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ( II , III ), Ahmet Davutoğlu ( I , II , III ) and in the cabinet of Binali Yıldırım of the AKP -Government.

Eroğlu is married and has four children.
