Cevdet Yılmaz

Cevdet Yılmaz (born April 1, 1967 in Bingöl ) is a Turkish politician of the Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (AKP).

Life

Yilmaz graduated from the Administrative Faculty of the Middle East Technical University . He received his Masters from the University of Denver and his PhD from Bilkent University . Then Yılmaz worked in the State Planning Office , u. a. as a department head.

Yılmaz became a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in 2007 and was Minister of State responsible for the Southeast Anatolia Project from May 1, 2009 to July 6, 2011 . Since July 6th 2011 he has been Minister for Development in Turkey. In the Yıldırım cabinet, which has been in office since May 2016 , he was replaced by his party colleague Lütfi Elvan .
