The İnönü X cabinet was the 28th government of Turkey , which was headed by Prime Minister İsmet İnönü from December 25, 1963 to February 20, 1965 .
After the coalition of Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi and Adalet Partisi existed only a few months after the election, the CHP, Yeni Türkiye Partisi and Cumhuriyetçi Köylü Millet Partisi agreed on a joint government formation. In the local elections on November 17, 1963 , the ruling parties suffered a setback. The opposition Adalet Partisi won the elections with 45.48%. At the end of November, the coalition broke up. Inönü decided to set up a minority government supported by the Yeni Türkiye Partisi and independent MPs.
On February 13, 1965, however, all opposition parties refused to support the budget. Inönü had failed. He resigned and the non-party Senator Suat Hayri Ürgüplü became Prime Minister in a transitional government that ran government until the new elections.
