Local election in Turkey 1963
The local elections in Turkey in 1963 , which took place on November 17th of that year, were the first local elections after the military coup in 1961.
Both mayors and village chiefs ( Muhtarlar ) and the provincial parliaments ( İl Genel Meclisi ) were elected. The Turkish Justice Party won, as it did in the 1961 parliamentary elections.
