Constitutional referendum in Turkey in 1988

A referendum on constitutional amendments in Turkey in 1988 was held on September 25 of that year. It was about holding the local elections a year earlier.

The constitutional amendments were rejected by the voters who voted against in the referendum with 65 percent; the turnout was 88.8 percent.
